Tata Carine and Hamadou Ibrahim are the new winners of this year's Test Race Of Hope which took place in Buea, the southwest regional capital.
The race started at the Molyko Omnisports Stadium at 7:40 am with over 140 athletes taking part in the test race.
The athletes ran from the Molyko Omnisports Stadium to the new hurt ( the intermediate hurt) and back to the Molyko stadium.
Three-time champions Tata Carine once again showed class and quality as she dominated the race from start to finish as she beat Che Christabell and Kangabe Confidence to win the test race.
In the male category, Hamadou Ibrahim, a potential contender for this year's mount Cameroon Race Of Hope, succeeded Lambi Elijah who won the test race last year as he beat Saidu Nuhu Yerima and Mentan Cornelius to win the test race.
Tata Carine will be looking for her fourth consecutive crown in the female category while Hamadou Ibrahim will be hoping to be one of the potential contenders to dethrone last year's winner, Godlove Gabsibuin.
The 2021 edition of the Mount Cameroon Race Of Hope is set to take place on February 27, 2021
